woulda, shoulda

in amber i am

rubbed on silk

charged

primate child

stuck in sap

in a giant world

my blood is still

neurones dark

my eyes stare out at you

in your eyes

shape

once i pissed and sang

and if I hadn't got among

those tall and sticky trees

I woulda

shoulda

been a woman

now you hold

your trophy

easy as road kill

pecked by crows

that come and go

their glib throats swallowing
