a fragment of verse taken from a ‘digital’ poem into which it was more closely integrated
there is a considerable quantity of other material like this that might not comfortably stand alone without images, FX and the like
an earlier version of this poem was called ’siren’s bike‘
this poem is weak when standing by itself – unfortunately the image that accompanied it mashed images for which copyright permission has not yet been granted
sirens
imagine running while standing still imagine squatting by a hearth of days in swami mode your touches glaze my skin your sky pretending clouds and blinded by the sleuth of sleep imagine being half awake in increments as putative as chocolate rich and worth it for your song through which my trusted peers with wind blocked ears transfer me to their shifting shore this to give me still a time before we start again imagining running while standing still
