sample digital poems

In this case ‘digital’ just means the poems are not composed of static black characters on a white background.

  • gambit – loops of animated text appear and disappear; uses animated gifs
  • cavort - a pulsing circle with rotating text (from the 2024 home page)
  • down - moving text over stationary text – you can scroll a long way
  • these sheets are empty now – slideshow of images with text over
  • fake uke 1 – scroll in any direction to explore
  • soft notes rising – layers of words over an image (nothing moves)
  • what went wrong this time – three simple rotating loops of text; animated gifs
  • dream because you can – a slowly transitioning image with accompanying static text – image partly based on 3D work by an unknown student artist – please contact me if you recognise your work, thanks!
  • floating world – this is a background image consisting of three mashed photographs – it’s not a poem itself but perhaps it suggests a poem
  • thought over london – as perhaps does this image (only two photos merged this time)
