the probability of speech so take your pick all one or none
and descend like a wood pigeon into the undergrowth
gurgling if that’s the word to connect the dots
if dots there are exploding from your core
desiderata fireworks semblance care
and then a silence because you sleep
enjoy it for a while
of course the neural correlates will
entertain monkeys, cross deserts, span
the massage of gods’ clumsy hands
which vaguely from the past, accelerate
deities in heads they bark loud and long but
relax, wood pigeon, or whoever you are
it won’t take long the problem will be over
not solved of course, which is the point
